Attractions/Destinations – Chair: Nancy Bass
Secures expanded membership in VAHSMP among non-hotel hospitality professionals; contacts members to ensure renewal; follows up with expired members.

Reviews nominations and oversees selection of the John Dufour Award Recipients

Budget/Finance – Chair: Cathy Grieve
Assists with management of VAHSMP budget and finances.

Education – Chair: Cathy Grieve; Vice Chair: Dee Dee White
Assists with topics/speakers for Seminars; introduces speakers before Seminars; plans Annual Educational Symposium.

Executive – Chair: Ed Denton
Assumes responsibility of the operation of VAHSMP between Board meetings and provides the president and executive vice president with ideas for the successful accomplishment of the Association’s goals and objectives.

Fundraising – Chair: Jamie Caron; Vice Chair: James Lewis
Solicits donations for Online Auction.

Membership – Chair: Brock Lawson
Proactively markets membership in VAHSMP to hospitality professionals and meeting planners in Virginia; contacts members to ensure renewal; follows up with expired members.

Nominating – Chair: Robert Hayes
Solicits input from the membership and makes nominations for the officers and directors of VAHSMP.

Partnerships – Chair: Lauran Dangler; Vice Chair: Teri Hickman
Solicits community partners and works with them to make sure of a mutually beneficial relationship.

Scholarship – Chair: Rick Butts
Reviews nominations and oversees selection of the Dee Harris Scholarship Recipients

Sponsorship–  Chair: Eric Whitson; Vice Chair: Melinda Laughon
Solicits sponsorships for Annual Education Symposium and Golf Tournament.

Technology – Chair: Tim Stacer
Assists with management of VAHSMP web site design and social media strategies.
